From Calgary: Drive west along the TransCanada (Hwy 1) to Hwy 40. Drive south on Hwy 40 as far as you can go (to the winter barricade). At the barricade, turn right (west) and drive for approximately 2.3 km. Pocaterra Hut is on the left. For Peter Lougheed Visitor Centre, stay on Kananaskis Lake Trail for 1 more km past Pocaterra Hut (i.e. do NOT go up the Smith-Dorrien-Spray Trail). The Visitor Centre entrance is on the left. Both Pocaterra Hut and the Visitor Centre are marked by road signs. Driving time from Calgary, approximately 1 hour 40 min.
