Event Descriptions

Weekly Sunday Morning Lessons - The heart of Jackrabbits.  Lessons are run every Sunday at 10am - see calendar for dates and locations.  Bring a snack and water for your Jackrabbit(s) and a lunch for the family.  Check the left sidebar "are we skiing?" to find out if lessons are on or not - the call is made Saturday after 5pm based on weather and/or trail conditions.  Under -20C we typically don't ski.

Optional Tours - We augment our lesson program with optional tours throughout the ski season. These tours give our Jackrabbits an opportunity to put to work, skills learned in lessons. Often, several different routes are offered from the trailhead to give skiers of differing abilities an appropriate tour.

Sports Day - Sports Day takes place at the end of March, typically at the Canmore Nordic Centre. Sports Day wraps up our activities in the mountains with games on skis, food and fun.

AGM and Awards Banquet - Our Annual General Meeting and Awards Banquet typically takes place on April at the Bow Waters Canoe Club in Calgary to review the past season financials, to elect the executive, and organize volunteers for the following season.  A potluck dinner is followed by the presentation of badges earned by our Jackrabbits over the course of the season.

Club logoed apparel is ordered for club members when there is an interest in x-c ski appropriate clothing.
